Held every two years, the Netherlands Violin Competition, in Utrecht, Netherlands, aims to develop young violin talents under the age of 26.
The Finalists in the 14-17-year-old age Davina van Wely category are:

The Finalists in the 18-26-year-old Oskar Back age category are:
- Emma Roijackers (26)
- Iris van Nuland (19)
- Isobel Warmelink (25)
Held by the Stichting Nederlandse Vioolconcoursen, the Oskar Back category prize winner will receive €12,000 — plus a number of important performance opportunities.
In the Oscar Back category, the special prize for the best performance of the competition’s newly commissioned work, „Suddenly Wobbly“ by Martijn Padding, was awarded to Emma Roijackers.
In the Davina van Wely category, the special prize for the best performance of the competition’s newly commissioned work, „Riffs“ by Joey Roukens, was awarded to Joshua Tavenier.
Previous winners include: Janine Jansen, Liza Ferschtman, Jaap van Zweden, Emmy Verhey, Simone Lamsma, Rosanne Philippens, and Niek Baar.
The 14-17-year-old age category jury comprises: Elisabeth Perry (Chair), Maaike Aarts, Cindy Albracht, Sonja van Beek, Bas Treub, and Alessandra Sordo-Sanchez.
The 18-26-year-old age category jury comprises Susanne van Els (Chair), Guy Braunstein, Isabelle of Cologne, Maria Milstein, Daniel Rowland, Ed Spaniard, Tjeerd Top Tjeerd Top, and Patty Hamel.
The Final Round of the Oskar Back Prize will take place on Saturday, January 29, streamed here on The Violin Channel.
